Basics of Supervising—Home Study (Exam)

Program Description

This Review and Exam is limited to participants who have completed the Basics of Supervising – Home Study program.

Please bring your home study package materials including your program module books, your copy of OHSA and the Construction Regulation, the Construction Health and Safety Manual, and your completed preliminary evaluation answer sheets to be marked.

 
1. Get the home study package

Important Notice

Before registering for the Basics of Supervising – Home Study Exam, the participant MUST order the Basics of Supervising home-study package. This is not available to order online. Please call Customer Service at 1-800-263-5024.


The home-study package includes:

  • M047 - Basics of Supervising, Modules 1-6
  • M048 - Basics of Supervising Workbook
  • B005 - Occupational Health and Safety Act and Construction Regulations
  • B455 - WSIB's First Aid Regulations
  • F200 - Letter of instructions and pre-evaluation

2. Complete the work

Complete all the assigned readings and exercises, and then complete the multiple-choice Pre-Evaluation.

 
3. Select a Review and Exam session

Register for one of the Basics of Supervising – Home Study (Exam) sessions listed below or contact a Customer Service Representative. If an exam date has not been scheduled for your area, contact your local IHSA consultant.

 
4. Attend your Review and Exam session

Participants attending the Review and Exam MUST BRING ALL Basics of Supervising – Home Study material INCLUDING the completed Pre-Evaluation (F200) to the session.

 
PROVIDE the completed exercises and the pre-evaluation to the session instructor for review before being allowed to write the Exam. A wallet card will be issued to the participant who achieves a score of 75% or greater on the Exam.
