Fatality Notice: IHSA has learned of a construction-related fatality in Sudbury involving a construction worker securing a transport trailer load. One workplace fatality is one too many, regardless of the sector, industry, or occupation. Please take a moment to think about those who have died or been injured on the job and re-establish a commitment to the prevention of injuries, illnesses, and fatalities.

Learning Evaluation

This course is a combination of classroom and hands-on learning activities. To obtain a certificate of completion for this program, participants must be present for the full program and meet the following evaluation requirements:

1. Complete a hands-on demonstration of specific critical tasks and achieve a score of 100%.

2. Complete the written multiple-choice test and achieve a grade of 75%.

IHSA will issue a certificate of completion only to those who successfully meet the evaluation requirements. For participants with language, literacy, or special accommodation needs, alternative evaluation methods to the written test may be used to verify that key concepts have been understood. Please discuss your needs with an IHSA customer service representative when registering and confirm your arrangements with the instructor prior to the beginning of class.

In addition to successfully completing this training course, workers must receive site-specific training and instruction from their employer. Employers must ensure that workers receive adequate oral and written instructions by a competent person and that they are adequately trained on the site-specific work plan and on the specific equipment that will be used in their workplace.
